Asite launches PMIS to put cost, schedule and risk on one governed record
The common data environment vendor's latest 2026 release locks monthly cost periods, scores Primavera P6 programmes against the 14 DCMA checks and is designed to support BS 202001:2025.

Asite has launched Asite PMIS, a project management information system that holds cost, schedule, risk and performance in one governed record, the first in a series of releases taking the firm into whole-life asset support.
The common data environment (CDE) vendor announced the product on 3 November 2026 and said it has been released globally. It follows the company's other 2026 launches: AI agents in March, Asite Virtual Coworkers in June and an AI product for architectural practices in September.
Asite said dashboards, schedules, budgets, contracts, change, risk, safety, quality, funding and asset records in PMIS share a single data model, so the figures a board sees are built from the same lines the site team enters.
Adi Zaqout, Director of Product and Technology Innovation at Asite, said: "Every project leader has sat in a meeting where two people quote two different numbers for the same thing".
He added: "PMIS is built so every figure traces back to the budget line, contract or certificate behind it. And when a number can't be backed up, the system tells you why instead of showing a silent zero."
Schedule and cost controls
According to Asite, a user can upload a Primavera P6 programme and PMIS scores it against all 14 DCMA schedule checks, flagging activities and giving a health score from 0 to 100. The work breakdown structure is imported from the live P6 schedule, so teams report against the structure being executed.
Monthly cost report periods lock on approval. Reopening a period creates a versioned revision with a mandatory comment while the original is left untouched, Asite said, and locking, access and audit rules are enforced at database level with a full audit trail of every change.
Budget, commitments, variations, accruals and forecast sit in one period-based cost report, with accruals reversing automatically in the following period. SPI and CPI indicators sit alongside the DCMA health score, and multi-currency records hold the exchange rate locked at award.
Earned value is calculated from approved, locked period data rather than live spreadsheets, the company said, so indicators reflect the position a project has signed off. PMIS also includes project health scorecards, portfolio-level visibility and risk management with a 5x5 heatmap.
AI drafting with limits
Asite AI drafts schedule commentary, variation justifications and risk mitigations from the data already held in PMIS, giving project controllers a first draft to refine. Each draft goes through the same review and approval workflow as work written by a person, and AI is switched off on records that are locked or in review.
In its March release of eight AI agents, Asite said its Cognitive CDE agents do not learn from, retain or repurpose customer project data.
Standards
Asite said PMIS is built to NRM2, POMI, FIDIC, NEC4, DCMA 14-point and ISO 19650, on PMBOK Guide principles, and is designed to support the project controls requirements of BS 202001:2025.
BS 202001:2025, titled Project controls. Specification, was published by the British Standards Institution (BSI) on 30 September 2025. BSI describes it as the first national specification standard on how to set and apply project controls, produced in response to calls from industry, and says it specifies requirements for the design and operation of project controls across the full project life cycle. Its intended users include higher level management responsible for governance and oversight, project managers and project control specialists.
Background
Asite said July 2026 marked its 25th anniversary and that more than 95,000 organisations across 120 countries use its platform. Companies House records Asite Solutions Limited under SIC code 62012, business and domestic software development, with a registered office at Leconfield House, Curzon Street, London.
The September release, announced in partnership with the Royal Institute of British Architects, supports information management across RIBA Plan of Work Stages 1 to 4. The launch announcement for PMIS named no customers.
Asite said PMIS is the first of a series of launches that will take the company beyond project information into supporting assets across their whole lifecycle.
