Converge named in Blue Earth BE100 and reports CONSTRUCT sustainability award with Morrisroe
The concrete sensor and AI company said it was picked from 1,414 applicants for the Built Environment category and credited Data Hub and Mix AI for results on Morrisroe projects.
Converge, the UK concrete sensing and software company, has been selected for the 2026 Blue Earth BE100 in the Built Environment category and said it has won the CONSTRUCT Day 2026 Environment & Sustainability Award with Morrisroe.
The company said in a blog post dated 23 October that the BE100 names 100 businesses with the potential to transform their industries, chosen from 1,414 applicants. Blue Earth said it worked with 40 judges to make the selection.
Converge said the BE100 listing recognised its ConcreteDNA work, which brings sensors, data and predictive AI together to help the industry build faster and with less carbon. Blue Earth's entry for the company describes it as connecting concrete sensors with software that tracks strength and temperature in real time.
According to Blue Earth, Converge reported in its BE100 application that it has deployed more than 50,000 sensors across more than 1,000 construction projects.
Listing is not funding
Blue Earth said at least ten BE100 winners, one from each industry, will receive investment from BE100 Fund II. It also said that selection into the BE100 does not guarantee funding.
Converge describes itself as a UK-based technology startup that has raised more than £20m. In 2022 it raised a £15m Series A led by Climate Investment, the company said.
The CONSTRUCT award
Converge said that, together with Morrisroe, it won the Environment & Sustainability Award at CONSTRUCT Day 2026 for its work with Data Hub and Mix AI. CONSTRUCT, which describes itself as a trade association for the concrete frame and groundwork sector, said the event took place on 2 October at The Brewery, London.
CONSTRUCT's own awards pages do not yet list 2026 winners; the latest Environment & Sustainability winner shown is Fosroc, for the A19 Tees Viaduct Refurbishment Scheme in 2025. The award claim therefore rests on Converge's announcement.
Converge set out what it said were the results across Morrisroe projects: more than 95,000 cubic metres of concrete and 23 million kgCO2e tracked, 70% less time spent on reporting and a 70% improvement in early detection of non-conformances.
The company said that by bringing concrete data together and predicting how different mixes will perform, it is helping teams make lower-carbon choices before they pour.
Earlier work with Morrisroe
The Morrisroe link predates the award. Converge said Morrisroe Group, which it describes as an engineer-led multi-disciplinary contractor with specialist design capability, was an early adopter of Data Hub when the product launched in July 2024. Data Hub, according to Converge, automatically captures, centralises and analyses all concrete data.
Dan Bannister, Operations Director at Morrisroe, said at the time: "We now have a centralized system that not only speeds up data processing but also enhances the accuracy of our analysis."
James Wibberley, Engineering Lead at Morrisroe Group, said that with Data Hub the firm could "eliminate the manual work and reduce the risk of human error".
Converge's naming of its partner varies across its own pages: the award post says "Morrisroe", the 2024 Data Hub post says "Morrisroe Group" and its 40 Leadenhall case study names "AJ Morrisroe & Sons". In that case study, James Read, Project Engineer at AJ Morrisroe & Sons, said the ConcreteDNA system allowed the core to be jumped as soon as the concrete reached temporary works design strength.
Mix AI, the second product cited in the award, was announced by Converge on 5 December 2023. The company said then that cement accounts for about 8% of global carbon dioxide emissions, and Raphael Scheps, co-founder and CEO of Converge, said the tool used AI techniques to deliver a scalable digital solution to decarbonise concrete.
Blue Earth has said at least ten of the 100 listed companies will go on to take investment from BE100 Fund II.
